Full Job Description
The Systems Analyst 1 is responsible for developing and revising applications to provide business data solutions. Collects and interprets requests from the business and participates in all aspects of the data solution lifecycle. Will work within most phases of small to large solution lifecycles – requirements, profiling data, prototyping, design, development, testing, training, implementation, and support for end user or system consumption.
1.Collects, analyzes, and interprets data to be used in program development to meet the defined user requirements.
2.Creates prototypes of the requested user defined capabilities and or completes data profiling to validate scope.
3.Prepares detailed specifications for programs of moderate to difficult complexity.
4.Develops programs of small to moderate complexity using recommended technologies. Follows the established methodologies and standards.
5.Develops and maintains technical efficiency in hardware/software and productivity tools and applies this knowledge to assignments.
6.Creates test data to execute all functions of the coded programs. Executes program testing and is responsible for its accuracy and effectiveness.
7.Ensures user requirements are met and development occurs according to design.
8.Assists in adoption of the completed solution.
9.Performs the analysis, research, and resolution of production problems. Responsible for maintaining, debugging, and modifying these programs.
10.Responsible for planning, organizing, communicating and controlling all phases of their effort and the business results. Under close supervision, will plan, organize, and control small sized development projects or programs end to end.
1.Associate degree in Information Systems or Business Administration required. Bachelor's degree related to data, industrial engineering, or MIS preferred.
2.Up to three years of MIS experience preferred.
3.Working knowledge of one or more specified technologies required. Specified technologies may include SQL, Windows, Linux or Unix Scripting, visualization and reporting tools and/or prototyping tools.
4.Solid verbal and written communication skills. Can communicate complex ideas clearly in both written or verbal form required.
5.Able to influence business outcomes by turning data and results into a compelling narrative with the aid of data visualization preferred.
6.Good understanding of the theories and principles of systems development and the interrelationships of systems required.
