Benefits Manager

Contract
This role is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and for the development, implementation and administration of all compensation and benefit programs.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provides strategic recommendations with regards to cost containment to assure maximum possible coverage for employees with least cost to ACCESS and employee
• Leads the research, analysis, revision, design and implementation of employee benefit programs and recommends changes and/or new benefit programs
• Working with the broker, conduct appropriate analysis and manage annual renewal of contracts
• Coordinate and manage monthly reconciliation of vendor bills, approve and submit bills for payment and submit plan contributions and loan payments to retirement plan vendor
• Serve as the primary contact and resource for plan vendors and third-party administrators, track vendor performance, ensure cost effective and high-quality service for plan participants
• Respond to employee inquiries and act as liaison between vendor and employees to intercede on employee’s behalf to resolve issues and address complaints
• Design and implement wellness initiatives including evaluation of impact
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations which affect employee pay and benefits including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA and HIPPA
• Ensure maintenance of accurate employee records
• Effectively manage staff, hiring, training, communicating expectations, providing coaching and feedback and managing performance
• Prepare for and participate in audits including acting as the primary contact for auditors, establishing audit schedule, analyzing and preparing necessary reports and development and implementation of action plans to address audit findings
• Perform other special projects and broader HR initiatives as assigned by V.P. Human Resources

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field
• 5-7 years progressive experience in compensation and benefit design, analysis and administration
• Minimum 2 years management experience
• CCP, CBP, CEBS or SPHR certifications, highly preferred
• Excellent and demonstrated knowledge of compensation and benefits administration, policies, procedures, practices, products, services and tools
• Excellent and demonstrated knowledge of compensation and benefits administration, policies, procedures, practices, products, services and tools
• Prior experience in healthcare industry a plus
