Summary of Duties: The Assistant Nurse Manager is a front line manager responsible for the clinical management of a specified nursing unit with 8-12 hour responsibility and accountability for staff function and patient care activities. This will include the support to the Nurse Manager, and assess, plan, evaluate, demonstrate initiative, quality of work, productivity, and also developing highly functional work teams within Perioperative Services.
Educational Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN required with Master's preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current CA RN license required. Current AHA BLS required. AHA ACLS preferred. Chemotherapy experience preferred. CNOR certification preferred.
Experience Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in clinical Perioperative nursing practice with minimum of two (2) years experience required.
Special Skills or Abilities: Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, management skills and leadership qualities. Effective written & oral communication skills in English. Proficient in the understanding and practice of AORN.
