To provide primary support to the Director with regard to department administration by assisting in the development and implementation of plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective achievement of University Analytics mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate the collection, processing, analysis, interpretation and reporting of institutional data to support decision making processes. Emphasis on higher-order data modeling, analysis, and predictive analytics. Coordinates and respond to internal requests for information and data analysis. Collaborate with other staff/administrators at the University to ensure accuracy of data utilization. Analyze institutional data and report data quality concerns to Data Governance. Represent University Analytics and serve as a resource on University committees.
Master’s degree or higher in computer science, statistics, or related discipline or the equivalent experience. Three years progressively responsible experience in institutional data in higher education. Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools. Demonstrated experience in developing complex queries and data models. High level of attention to details required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated experience in presentation to diverse audiences up to executive level. Solid interpersonal skills, with ability work well with people of all levels in both technical and campus settings.
Strong SAS programming and SQL skills. SAS Data Warehouse management and SAS data-modeling experience is a plus. Experience and/or certification in SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Visual Analytics, Data Management Studio, SAS programming, SAS Enterprise Guide and Enterprise Miner.
