Summary: The position will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer and all Compliance Business Consultants to support all aspects of the Bank's compliance program. Individual will assist the Chief Compliance Officer with planning, scoping, scheduling and performing compliance testing/monitoring to determine effectiveness of compliance-related internal controls. Individual will perform all work in accordance with department and professional standards and completes assignment in an efficient manner with sufficient attention to detail
Participate in recommendation, development, revision and implementation of Compliance policies and procedures.
Assist with implementing changes and/or updates to disclosures, forms, job aids, and data processing system to comply with regulatory changes and /or required corrective action.
Assist in the dissemination of compliance-related update, information and guidance to management and the various lines of business.
Research regulatory issues and respond to compliance question from bank personnel.
Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; recommending corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
Assist in preparation for compliance risk assessments.
Assist with preparation of audit and examination materials.
Develop a thorough understanding of procedures for all area of responsibility.
Develop knowledge of all compliance regulations within all areas of the bank.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 7 years banking experience
Significant experience with achieving a high quality of work while under strict time restraints.
Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations
Strong knowledge of applicable financial, regulatory controls directly impacting the operations of the company.
Strong research and analytical skills – ability to identify patterns, trends and potentially suspicious or questionable activity.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, presence and organized.
Experienced PC skills using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as other technology systems
Ability to analyze complex documents and data and document synthesized narratives
Proven experience managing complex priorities and meet deadlines
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently.
