Full-time position working Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Position Summary
Provides first-level support to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs; serves as primary receptionist for the office, answers the telephone, manages/coordinates calendars for senior leadership in Student Affairs, coordinates events, and prepares mailings. Collaborates with other classified staff to meet the goals and objectives of the Division of Student Affairs.

Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:
Serves as receptionist for the office; greets visitors, students, staff, and faculty
Provides secretarial support to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and serves as back-up support for other senior leadership in Student Affairs
Answers telephone, answers questions, takes messages, and refers/transfers calls as necessary
Maintains calendar for the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Student Affairs Conference Room, prepares daily materials/updates for meetings, schedules appointments, takes meeting notes as needed
Compiles, enters, and retrieves information in CSS, FMS, OrgSync, and others systems as needed
Orders supplies and equipment as needed
Schedules and coordinates meetings and special events for the Division of Student Affairs
Arranges travel for Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and other senior leadership in Student Affairs
Assists with updates to the Division of Student Affairs website

Minimum Qualifications & Salary:
Minimum Class Requirement

Six months related experience and High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred qualifications:
Professional demeanor and strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, and oral)
Ability to work independently and pro-actively in serving the needs of the Division of Student Affairs
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook
Working knowledge of FMS, CSS, Chrome River and other applications as necessary (developed after employment)

Classified Staff Pay Grade 24/$13.67
