The Technology Engineer Intern uses his/her specialized knowledge to plan, design, develop and test new systems from product enhancements to new offerings. With a wide array of services, Worldpay needs to ensure that our products deliver a seamless and intuitive experience, which begins with thoughtful and smart engineering. He/she will be a passionate and informed individual, keeping on top of developments and trends in the payments processing environment to design intelligent systems that anticipate and beat the competition.

The Day-to-Day

Responsibilities:
Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.
Collaborate with other internal teams (Product, Platform, Merchant Services and Support) to distill business requirements into technical solutions.
Use Agile software techniques such as pair programming and test driven development to maximize productivity and quality.
Deploy new features into production with zero platform downtime and no impact to end customers who are currently processing.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Works on problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
Drive innovation and operational performance in the deployment of new functionality, services, and products
Analyze project data to determine specifications or requirements
Design and develop new features and enhancements with test driven development/methodologies
Deliver detailed design/architecture plans and solution requirements assessment
Address challenges of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration
Present the changes being made and what the impacts are to other areas of the system and aid those teams
Lead the roll out of this feature into production for general availability and triage issues encouraged
Read and interpret third party documentation and present ideas/solutions to the team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in driving operating and service excellence
Improve project delivery and provide recommendations for process improvement
Apply Agile methodologies and best practices on project engagements
Execute continuous improvement efforts and ensure delivery commitments are met consistently
Consistently create successful engagements on projects and with cross-functional teams
Drive strategy, innovation, Agile knowledge and best practices on project engagements
Identify new solutions and opportunities in Worldpay's service offerings

Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree enrollment or a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience.
