The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leadership, management, roadmap and execution of all areas of the supply chain. The Director can drive the business forward through purchasing, inventory management, warehousing and transportation operations execution. Individual must be customer focused (internal and external), agile and a creative leader that acts as an agent of change, often under difficult circumstances. This position is part of the senior leadership team.


Drives Supply Chain Strategy to drive cost effective strategy for pipeline management, inventory, management, supply planning, materials management, inventory deployment - work towards implementing MRP program.
Review and modify commodity strategy to mitigate risk.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers/vendors/customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements.

Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products.
Oversee direct store/franchise distribution system consisting of leased tractors and trailers along with company drivers. Verify compliance of all DOT regulations.
Responsible for incoming/outgoing shipments of product via 3rd party implement best practices.
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
Direct warehouse functions for two (2) distribution centers to include receipt of raw materials, transfer to production, receipt of finished goods and shipping.

Develop supply chain metrics and dashboards. Implement best practices based on results.
Create budgets and manage department expenses.
Generate list of capital expenditure requirements for all departments.
Plan, hire, and define direction of the Supply Chain Teams for a company with significant growth potential.
Qualifications - BA/BS required. MBA preferred. SAP experience a plus.

Five to seven years of experience managing projects with increasing responsibility and demonstrated strong business background; along with experience with food service, direct store delivery, distribution warehouse operation product flow.

At least 10 years of experience managing employees preferred (Being able to coach/mentor drive performance management with leading DOT, OSHA, Food Quality compliance).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard hours of business are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. - This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
