Job Description Summary :
The Information Architect I strengthens the impact of, and provides recommendations on, business information that needs to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification, definition, and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes. This individual is responsible for discovering the data and analytics requirements for information for all uses.
Provides basic strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access, and use.
Fosters value creation using the organization's data assets as well as the external data ecosystem. This includes data exploitation, envisioning data-enabled strategies, and enabling all forms of business outcomes through analytics, data and analytics governance, and enterprise information policy.
Assesses the benefits and the risks of information using tools such as business capability models to create an information-centric view to quickly visualize which information matters most to the organization based on the defined business strategy.
Uses tools such as business information models to provide the organization with a future-state view of the information landscape that is unencumbered by specific data implementation details imposed by proprietary solutions or technologies. Assists decision design.
Assists data and analytics leaders, and business and IT leadership in developing information governance processes and structures.
Assists in the creation and management of business information models in all their forms, including conceptual models, relational database designs, message models, and others.
Aids the definition of data classifications and data zoning to allow information assets to be immediately identified and proactively managed as more information becomes federated in a digital economy.
Help to ensure that the architecture is used as a lens and a filter to identify, prioritize, and execute data and analytic initiatives with clear line of sight to enterprise strategies and business outcomes.
Aids in the analysis of data and analytics security requirements and solutions, and helps to ensure that enterprise data and analytics assets are treated as protected assets.
Aids efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management, metadata management, analytics, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.
A hand-on technologist with deep knowledge of technologies relate to data analytics and data science ecosystems
Ability to partner very closely with business stakeholder in identifying solutions to solve business problem and the ability to design, create prototype and testing of prototypes on the proposed solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied Data Analytics, or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in IT.
Understanding of business domain, data/content, and process.
Experience designing and implementing information solutions.
Familiarity with system integration, including interface design, and web-oriented architecture techniques.
Understanding of enterprise-level data modeling and information classification.
Strong experience with common information architecture frameworks and information models.
Thorough understanding of metamodels, taxonomies, and ontologies, and of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sources.
Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments. Deep understanding of a variety of data access and analytics approaches (for example, microservices and event-based architectures).
Highly technical with hand-on experience using Apache Spark and python.
Experience implementing data solutions in Microsoft Azure.
Experience implementing Kafka, Schema Registry and Kafka Streaming and/or Spark Streaming.
In-dept knowledge and experience implementing solutions using data stream concept.
In-dept knowledge and experience implementing event-based messaging system via Avro format and KSQL.
Strong knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis and design, and programming techniques.
Expert and experience building solutions in data analytics such as MDM, ETL, business intelligence, data warehouse and data lake and/or data lakehouse.
Thorough understanding of data science concepts and toolsets such as TensorFlow, H2O.ai, Mahout or DataRobot.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study.
5+ years' experience as a data architect or data engineer
Familiarity with implementing data and analytics management programs.
