More About this Role:
BIT Systems ( BITS ) is a CACI company. We are looking for a Java Developer to provide solutions for new development efforts and to sustain an existing operational baseline at the Dulles, VA office (Headquarters). Candidates are expected to have excellent communication and oral skills, development process experience, and work well in a small team environment. Candidates should be familiar with development and configuration management best practices and have previous development experience.
The Developer will lead the new development through the requirements analysis and design phases. The Developer will provide a technical solution compliant with the design and maintain the operational baseline. Additionally, the Developer will provide expertise to test, integration, and deployment of the software baseline. Candidates must be self-motivated individuals who can understand technical concepts, have excellent communication skills, and are able to collaborate on technical items with the larger team.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 10+ years of related experience with software development
Expert with Java, JMS, JDBC
Expert with Web services such as SOAP, REST
Expert with Amazon Web Services
Strong knowledge of Unix / Linux operating systems
Software configuration management processes and tools
Able to work independently
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Modern Web Programming Experience
Automated Test experience (Junit, Selenium, etc.)
Experience with GIT, Nexus, Gradle, JIRA, Confluence
Experience with mission management/planning systems
Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies and guidance
