The Director, National Sales is responsible for building and developing a high-performing sales team to maximize bookings by selling the full suite of Paycor’s products and services to small business prospects. The Director develops and executes the strategy for reliably delivering quota and is responsible for actively coaching the performance of sellers and leaders. The ideal candidate will have second-level sales leadership experience in a business-to-business (B2B) Software as a Service (SaaS) technology solutions industry, be data driven, and have an outstanding eye for talent. The position reports directly to the Vice President, High Velocity Sales.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop a strategic plan for reliably delivering quota, which includes managing staffing plans, leveraging marketing resources and lead sources, maximizing product mix, and driving improvements in seller efficiency and effectiveness.
Accurately and reliably forecast sales volume, drive activity, and report on key metrics.
Analyze sales activity and results to direct individual and team performance and to provide input to senior management.
Manage the performance and professional development of assigned sellers and sales leaders.
Communicate Paycor sales vision, business plans, and organizational updates to the sales team.
Recruit, interview, and select talent to build a high-performing sales team.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in learning events, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and attending professional conferences.
Build partnerships with internal business partners and work cross-functionally.
Oversee development and implementation of individual and regional business plans.
Ensure sales team alignment with Paycor sales processes, practices, and policies.
Ensure adherence with company policies and ethical business practices.

7+ years proven sales leadership experience in a fast-paced, high growth B2B SaaS technology solutions environment.
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales talent, both individual contributor sellers and first-line sales leaders.
Proven ability to use data to accurately plan and forecast.
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned quotas and timelines.
Motivational coach and trainer, with the ability to build positive and productive working relationships and foster creativity, innovation and integrity within a team.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
4-year degree in a business-related field or commensurate experience.
