The role of the HR Operations Specialist is responsible for providing essential support to the Human Resources Operations Manager to cover all HR daily operations and will also help to drive some HR operations projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day human resource maintenance within a specific group and/or function to ensure high level of customer service in responding to questions and resolving issues, HR Systems employee lifecycle data entry, and employee file and HR records maintenance.
This person will also provide HR support for various HR programs within the organization.
Provide excellent customer service and act as the first point of contact for all incoming inquiries, and routine questions regarding HR policies, programs and procedures
Process HR system data transactions that include but not limited to: new hire, employee changes, payroll, and separations.
Meet and exceed performance and service level metrics for timeliness, accuracy, and customer service.
Support the New Hire Orientation program.
Maintain HR Records to include personnel files and other employee documents. Build, provide, and distribute documents, agreements, and letters where HR requests additional support.
Respond to and support various processes such as I-9, AAP, Employment verifications and Unemployment claim inquiries.
Perform audits and controls to maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Wage and Hour, and HR policies and procedures.
Follow Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and process workflows and company policies as they relate to HR.
Participate and supply to the dedicated review and implementation of process improvements.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Maintain an understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations that are significant to Human Resources; provide HR policy implementation and interpretation.
Provide support Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
Principal Working Relationships: Effectively partner with all areas of Human Resources and customer business groups. Collaborate with internal and external organizations such as Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Stock, HRIS, IT, Finance and vendors.
Bachelor’s Degree in HR / Business or related field; or equivalent work experience
Minimum 2 years at the HR Specialist level, within an HR Operations and/or Shared Services environment
Experience with Workday and Service Now
Advanced Word, Excel and Visio software skills
Outstanding detail orientation and organization skills
