Forest Hill, a full service retirement community located on the Monterey Bay in Pacific Grove, California, is seeking a backup Front Desk Receptionist. This position would fill in as needed for vacations and illness as well as one or two shifts a week. These shifts could be any day throughout the week, 7am-1pm or 1pm-7pm. A great candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to multi-task administrative duties, provide assistance with A/R operations and data entry, and handle a variety of clerical work. This position requires the ability to interact with residents, staff, and guests in a positive, professional, and effective manner. The receptionist will report to the Office Manager.
This position requires answering and routing phone calls, some petty cash handling, minimal typing, and some computer word processing and data entry. Additional experience working in health care or with older adults a plus. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to learn new software programs. Must be able to obtain a criminal record clearance through the state of California as well as pass a physical and TB screening. This position will require working on holidays, the weekend, and evenings. This is a casual, hourly position. Compensation is $11 an hour. Benefits include access to our 403B Plan which has company matching and a free meal per shift worked.
