Acara Solutions is looking for a Designer I CAD for our client located Louisville, CO. -Work with Engineers to design and document SNC’s products while following established design and documentation standards -Translate concept drawings, verbal descriptions, and sketches into detailed models and drawings in support of specific program tasks -Efforts will include structural, environmental, and manufacturability considerations, including tolerance evaluation to reduce costs and schedule impact for all design efforts, while ensuring compliance with military and standards or best commercial practices (as appropriate) as well as contractual requirements -Will generate and launch Engineering Change Orders (ECO) with associated documentation into Configuration Management (CM) system ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: -Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours -Other duties as assigned COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: -Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by management -SNC job descriptions are meant as summarizations only. Required Skills / Qualifications:
Requires a BA/BS in related field
Requires 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
Pervious experience with military contracting and working to MIL and ANSI specifications for both drafting criteria and documentation of design efforts
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing course (ASME Y14.5M) certification preferred
Must have experience with AutoCAD/Mechanical Desktop, Inventor, SolidWorks, or comparable 3D design/drafting package
Proficiency using MS Office and Windows operating systems is required. Experience with web browsers and email applications in and inter/intranet environment
Must be able to read and use measuring instruments such as machinist scales, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment
The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
The ability to “reverse engineer” an existing part or assembly
The ability to interface with vendors/suppliers on procurement and/or manufacturability of a part
