The Data Engineer is responsible for supporting tactical and strategic business initiatives for our Enterprise Telephony Genesys, IEX workforce management and/or Verint platforms. The Engineer will act as a subject matter expert and will make recommendations supported by data analysis, case studies, testing, regression, and financials (cost benefits analysis). The consultant will lead key-project work-streams and provide regular updates to all levels of The Hartford’s leadership team.
Qualified candidates will join the Contact Center and Enterprise Voice team to build business/client relationships at all levels, including relationships with third party vendor / suppliers. Developing an understanding and awareness of business and financial acumen engage with customers and business partners to solve problems and ensures products and services are utilized efficiently.
The candidate will demonstrate technical expertise for relevant engineering disciplines and possess solid working knowledge of capabilities and direction of various technologies. The candidate will understand market and industry trends within related technical domains and possess strong analytical skills in order to effectively influence recommendations and decision-making, assess impacts, compare solutions, problem solve, and achieve business and/or technical objectives.
Utilize tools such as PL/SQL, T-SQL, Informatica, B2B
Leverage data mining and Business Intelligence tools to analyze large amounts of data identifying relationships and patterns within the data
Partner with various parts of the organization to build a working knowledge of the organization, business, processes, and its customers
Solves a range of multidimensional technical and business questions through data analysis
Ability to work independently
Experience with ETL Processes
Strong SQL skills
Deliver data architecture designs solution that enable business objectives.
Bachelor degree in computer science or related field.
3 plus years of relative experience as a developer with PL SQL, T SQL, Informatica experience.
The role will interface with cross-functional IT teams and Business Solutions teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-leaner and innovative mindset with aptitude to proof/ learn emerging technology.
Agile, SAFe, SCRUM experience
Programming language experience, including, but not limited to: .NET, R, Python SAS.
Working knowledge and experience of Genesys Solutions, Designer Analytics, Informat/GIM & ICON
Working experience with Big Data technologies and concepts on a Hadoop platform (e.g. Scoop, Hive, Pig, NoSQL, etc…)
In addition, we are looking for the following competencies:
Relational Database Model (RDBM) knowledge and warehousing techniques
Ability to assess and evaluate report/data requirements, working with a demanding client base. Candidate must possess strong functional/technical skills
Manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment with multiple shifting priorities
