POSITION SUMMARY:
The Loan Administration Assistant 1 is responsible for daily operations including release of collateral, document recording, preparation of loan documentation for paid out loans, exceptions processing, updates to customer information in core software system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supply, locate, and track documentation needed by internal and external customers

Prepare outgoing correspondence related to loan support

File loan documentation with the county and/or state

Coordinate and organize incoming correspondence related to open and closed loans

Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with credit reporting, paid out loan requests, and exception processing.

File mortgage recordings with appropriate county agencies, while utilizing electronic filing when available

Follow strict internal controls and procedures to protect customers and the bank from unnecessary risk

Travel to county agencies required, on occasion

Understand and adhere to all bank policies, including but not limited to, the Corporate Information Security Standards

Understand and adhere to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC)

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent

General Knowledge of loan documentation and regulations is required

General knowledge of Title field is recommended

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with customers, employees, senior management, auditors and regulators

Knowledge of, and the ability to use current technology proficiently, including a personal computer, keyboard and mouse, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) and other technology based tools

Good organizational skills, a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail

Effective time management and the ability to work independently in a team environment

Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality and professionalism

Valid driver’s license required to operate LANB corporate vehicles. Must have the ability to travel to branch offices as needed

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Indoors in normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes at least ninety percent (90%) of the time

Frequent computer use at workstation varies - up to four hours at a time

Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines

Public contact position requiring appropriate business-like apparel

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Employee must also have the ability to bend and lift up to Twenty Five (25) pounds.
