This position leads monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance activities for USCCB/MRS’ Foster Care team, within its Children’s Services unit. This includes providing direct oversight and leadership to program monitoring, technical assistance, and training activities, as well as to the completion of quarterly performance reports. This position directly supervises a minimum of two Children’s Services Specialists on the Foster Care team. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, this position carries a portfolio of programs and directly provides monitoring and program oversight, technical assistance and training, and consultation on trends and issues for USCCB’s UC residential services network, the federal government, and other stakeholders. This position also assists USCCB’s URM programs.

Education Level: Master’s Degree Major Field/Specialty: Social Work, Child Welfare, Foster Care, Case Management, Mental Health, Juvenile Justice or related field.
Other Specialized Training: (i.e. word processing, personal computer, knowledge of Catholic Church, etc.)
- Knowledge of child welfare principles/standards, practices and systems (i.e. foster care,child protective services, basic child placing agency licensing and placement procedures)
- Knowledge of international child migration, including issues related to children in immigration proceedings, victims of trafficking and refugees
- Knowledge of federal grants and cooperative agreements
- Knowledge and understanding of Catholic Church structure and teachings
- Competence with Microsoft Office and CRM database
