The Genetics Product Specialist Level 1 on the Post Live Support team is responsible for performing preliminary troubleshooting of Genetics and related applications on client environments. Assists in getting post live issues resolved in a timely manner via verbal or written communication with clients, supporting Gene programmers and other SCC personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs troubleshooting of non-complex application issues related to the Genetics Suite.
Performs troubleshooting of non-complex issues related to non-Genetic Suite applications.
Escalates or redirects tasks to appropriate resources when unable to resolve the issue, or task priority and situation requires such escalation.
Monitors appropriate bins and email for client task activity.
Communicates resolution to the client via the task management system, email or telephone as required.
Works closely with the Senior Analyst for ongoing technical training.
Participates in corporate in-service and technical training programs as assigned
Properly timesheets against appropriate client task and SCC tasks
Reviews assigned workload to assesses potential delays in the delivery of solutions
Participates in corporate client service and technical training programs as assigned.
Complies with all approved procedures, directives and guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned.
Four-year degree in a Healthcare/Clinical related field (Medical Technology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cytotechnology, Histotechnology, etc.) preferably with a Computer Science/IT concentration. Certification or License in a clinical related field (CG, HT, HLT, MLS, MLT or related) by either the State of Florida, ASCLS, ASCP or other national certifying organizations. Must at least have an Associate's Degree in the desired areas.
Previous experience working in the clinical laboratory field as a Medical Technologist or related position. The ideal candidate will have experience in domains such as laboratory, cytogenetics, molecular, flow cytometry, biochemistry, immunogenetics, cytology or histology/pathology. Previous experience in a service related field and related computer position is required. Prior experience in clinical diagnostic laboratories preferred with proficiency in basic genetics or pathology theory and laboratory practice, specimen preparation and processing is highly desired. Previous experience in the usage, file building, and trouble shooting of a laboratory information system (LIS) is preferred.
