Title: Sr. Business Intelligence Developer III
Responsibilities
- Develop datasets Indeed can use to optimize strategies and products for Job Seekers by building reports, dashboards, decision-optimization tools, and visualizations (using Python, Tableau, Redash, R Shiny)
- Deliver high-quality modeled datasets that turn raw data into analytics tables that power ad hoc analysis and operational reporting for hundreds of Indeed’s data consumers
- Master Indeed’s data, understanding where well-modeled aggregate data can yield more consistent insights and more intuitive use by analytics teams
- Become a subject matter expert on the tools Indeed uses to move data across analytics databases
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders as well as the Analytics team to gather requirements that you will use to build logical and physical data models
- Improve the efficiency of the Analytics team by owning and evolving large-scale datasets used to drive strategic decision making, and implementing best-in-class extract, transform and load (ETL) techniques to ensure resilience, accuracy, and expandability of core Analytics datasets
Skills/Competencies
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- 5+ Years of SQL. Must have the ability to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data
- 5+ years of Industry experience in a business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, utilizing data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology
- 3+ years of experience using data modeling and orchestration tooling (DBT, Airflow, or similar)
- 3+ years developing and optimizing ETL processes in a distributed computing environment
- 3+ years using Python to cleanse, manipulate, and present data, particularly using PySpark, Pandas, and Numpy
- Experience applying ETL and data warehouse concepts and processes to create well structured datasets for analytics
- Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions - and make recommendations to Engineering that improve our ability to make decisions

US Remote: 113,000 - 165,000 USD per year
Austin Metro Area: 113,000 - 165,000 USD per year
New York City Metro Area: 136,000 - 198,000 USD per year
San Francisco Metro Area: 149,000 - 217,000 USD per year
Seattle Metro Area: 128,000 - 186,000 USD per year
Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
