We are looking for a Controller to join the Meyer Najem Team

Primary Tasks:
  • Financial reporting
  • Maintain general ledger
  • Budgeting
  • Set up new contracts
  • Month end close
  • Oversee weekly expense report processing
  • Coordinate annual audit
  • Process voided checks
  • Monitor daily cash balances
  • Cash management
  • Process shareholder loan
  • Establish and monitor internal controls
  • Maintain fixed asset detail
  • Income & cost reconciliation
  • Manage warranty reserves
  • Resolve Timberline issues
  • Assist CFO as needed
  • Quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Payroll tax returns (Oversee)
  • W-2's (Oversee)
  • Sales tax return
  • Year end tax preparation
Job Cost, Percent Complete and Job Budgets:
  • Learn CSI and phase codes and effects on job costs
  • Understand major variances from original and current estimates
  • Review LTG's
  • Work in process schedule
Management of Delegates:
  • Supervise accounting department
  • Provide guidance and tasks to direct subordinates
  • Communicate expectations and deadlines
Education / Skill Requirements:
  • Four (4) year degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Cost accounting in Construction is preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Corporate Accounting principals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Well organized
  • Computer literate
  • Sage 300 experience preferred
Qualifications/Requirements for Position (certifications, licenses, degrees, etc.):
  • CPA preferred
