Microsoft is seeking a world class account manager with strong program management skills to join our global account team to help manage a strategic relationship with an industry leading global customer.
The role will be responsible for providing strategic business leadership and day-to-day IT program management for a Global Business. In this role, this individual will lead the Microsoft team including sales, services, and product group resources to achieve the goal of driving value-producing deployment of Microsoft solutions, driving global customer satisfaction through world class account management, and sustaining year over year revenue growth. In addition to above, success will in part be measured by the impact of the customer’s deployment and consumption of Microsoft’s solutions as an “IT Showcase” in the Enterprise Commercial market place. This role will need to build and manage key relationships, monitor deployment projects, engage resources and lead a diverse and talented virtual team. This role will also engage with Microsoft’s senior leadership team for Executive Sponsorship.
This position is responsible for teaming with the customer’s IT Organization to build strategic relationships within the account, articulating a clear vision, generating enthusiasm, and impacting multiple operating groups. This role is responsible for executing at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad product and services strategy. The role will mobilize all appropriate Microsoft resources (Sales, Technical Specialists, Consulting, Support, Product Groups and Executives) to support the customer’s interests while keeping Microsoft’s long term interests in focus.
This role is expected to drive deployment of Microsoft’s products across the account and must ensure that line of business applications are developed on Microsoft’s platform and thus creating compelling business reasons for the account to continue to purchase and deploy the Microsoft suite of products. Development of formal case studies and press releases highlighting Microsoft-based solution delivery is also required.

This individual must have an excellent understanding of the IT industry with hands on experience. This experience must include direct accountability for a large complex customer relationship. The team is also looking for an individual with experience in working as an IT executive responsible for delivering IT solutions. This role will require excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; analytical and presentation skills are also required. Candidate must possess demonstrated decision making, problem solving, and negotiating skills.
Microsoft Functional/Technical Competency requirements include: Account Planning and Management, Business Acumen, Coaching the Sale, Competition, Influencing Executives, Business Decision Makers, IT Pros and Developers and Microsoft Products. Other important Microsoft Competencies requiring Level 4 capabilities include: Action Oriented, Communication Skills, Conviction and Courage, Customer Focus, Cross-Group Collaboration and Negotiation and Conflict Management.
A BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred),
10 years+ experience in corporate sales of software, or services.
