Senior Software Engineer/Developer (Contract Position)
This is a contract position (4-6 months), candidate will participate in the creation of high quality software components to support all aspects of Domestic and International Household Goods Moving. Will assist in the creation of business application components using full stack development. Will work with business partners, technology partners, and QA as part of a fast-paced team that uses web client and server-side technologies to create powerful tools that add value to Arpin Group businesses. This position is located at the corporate headquarters facility in West Warwick, RI.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide business solutions by developing robust, well-designed software applications.
Design and develop Web services applications and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the functionality.
Perform technical and functional analysis.
Help implement application level architecture and participate in architectural design reviews.
Actively collaborate with team members to develop, deploy, and monitor team-wide projects, technical standards, and best practices.
Support and perform all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assist in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Assist in the identification, communication, isolation, and resolution of problems within the production environment.
Develop and create comprehensive technical documentation.
Migrate full suite of legacy applications of all technical flavors to new, web-based toolset.
Implementing/Engineering/Integrating Premised-based Third Party Applications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Information Technology Field (CS or IS) or Business Administration and three (3) years of experience in the job requirements listed below or five (5) years of experience in full stack intranet application development using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) on the Microsoft Development Platform (.Net, IIS, SQL Server).
CRITICAL SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE:
RESTful Web services using JSON
Object Oriented Programming using C#.Net
ASP.Net UI Programming using VB.Net,
Agile Development Methodology
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including:
T-SQL CRUD Operations
Stored Procedure Programming
Working with Source Code Management (SVN)
Working in a small business environment
ISO-27001 Compliant Development
Thorough Unit Testing: Design & Execution
Business Analysis: Process Mapping & Modeling
