Job Summary

Responsible to prepare beverages requested by customers according to the lounge procedures while providing a safe environment for guests by serving responsibly. Also provide and assist co-workers at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort & Spa a pleasant, enjoyable and special experience for each of our guests.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Provides attentive and friendly service to guests. Address the guest by name whenever possible.
Takes orders from guests, bar waiter/waitress.
Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Serves wine and draft or bottled beer.
Complete all daily paperwork including inventory, requisitions, sign in sheets, Read and initial book, logging in daily logbook, etc.
Be willing to help the cocktail servers and answer any questions that they may have.
Know all Oregon liquor laws and abide by them.
Possess knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors.
Take all guests orders, enter them in Micros or POS system, and expedite the orders from the kitchen in a presentable and timely manner.
Ability to transport up to 50 pounds through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
Ability to stand and work on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
Maintain professional appearance, attitude and grooming standards. Proper uniform cleaned and pressed, name tag and a smile.
Provide a safe environment for the guests.
Attend all employee meetings.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, employee may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the resort, marina and report deadlines. This may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications and Skills

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Food Handlers Card and knowledge of Health Code Regulations required or ability to obtain.
Have or be able to obtain OLCC Permit.
SERVSAFE certified preferred
