About the Role
The Sr. Manager, FP&A supports financial and analytical services for the Professional business unit. The general responsibility is to provide consolidated reporting, forecasts, budgets, business support, compliance activities and analytics of the Professional BU. This role is also critical for providing guidance, communicating and coordinating any business or financial requirements across the division.
What You Will Do
Supports the financial planning and analysis for the total BU preparing global financial statements.
Develop budgets, business plans, forecasts, and monitor and track monthly results against budget, forecast, run rate and prior years.
Prepares monthly variance analysis reports and monthly management reports, per Samsung detailed analysis and reporting schedule
Monitor and report global financial results (P&L, FCF, Working Capital, Capex, Balance Sheet) and oversee consolidation, budgeting, and monthly forecasting of Professional business results
Supervise and lead development and roll out of consolidation and planning software applications.
Lead the division in the budgeting, forecasting target setting process and ensure internal and corporate deliverables communicated, coordinated, and requirements met.
Coordinate and supervise with and Accounting, Regions, and Functions to ensure accuracy of business result, review and provide variance commentaries to Harman and Samsung headquarters.
Provide financial guidance, align and track targets against actuals and coordinate with various Corporate, Regional and Functional Finance Leads.
Provide support for any division-wide initiatives, ad-hoc analysis, and ensure implementation of any policy or process changes.
Responsible for coordinating with external and internal auditors;
Reporting in Corporate accounting systems Global financial statements in accordance with Company policy and GAAP/IFRS.
Ensure compliance with internal controls in accordance with Company policy maintaining documentation and following up with stakeholders to ensure that all control & compliance procedures are completed and in alignment with new IFRS accounting changes
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
10+years related experience to include leading a finance team, preparing financial statements, business activity reports and financial position forecasts and variance analysis
Experience developing budgets and forecasts
Strong problem solver
Drive global communication and organization of the multinational controlling team
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX reporting
Worked with compliance and control environment
Advanced ERP systems (SAP preferred), Excel and PowerPoint skills
What is Nice to Have
CPA or CMA
Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously and apply problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills. Business proficiency in English.
Ability to function in a team environment
Ability to function in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestically.
Be willing to work in an office in Northridge, CA.
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
This position requires the use of a use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle.
