SUMMARY OF POSITION
The HR Generalist for Orchid, Chelsea:
Is responsible for supporting the business and operations leaders and team members at the Orchid Chelsea site. The HR Generalist will also be part of the HR team of our Michigan operations, including four plants. The HR Generalist will partner with the HR Generalist at the Orchid Lansing site collaboratively to provide support more broadly across facilities.
Implements the One Orchid HR strategy and goals with the business leaders and team members in the defined area of responsibility, partnering with and leveraging common processes, tools, systems and support from the HR centers of excellence.

The HR Generalist, Orchid Chelsea reports to the Senior HR Manager who has overall responsibility for our four operations facilities in Michigan. The Orchid Chelsea site is a manufacturing site with 120 team members which produces machined products for orthopedic implants customers. The Orchid Lansing site is a manufacturing site with 250 team members which produces forging and machined products for customers in the same industry.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives accomplishment of business and HR strategy and goals through trusted partnerships with the business leaders and teams in the areas of responsibility.
Provides input to and implements the Global HR Strategy; identifies and creates processes, tools, and analytics that support achievement of goals within the HR Key Focus Areas.

Works with HR COE teams to develop, implement and continuously improve processes, tools and systems.
Responsible for site HR administration: submitting payroll hours, HRIS maintenance, benefits enrollment, employment verifications for government agencies, etc.

3-7 Years HR experience including working as an HR BP, generalist or specialist in a manufacturing organization
Experience managing employee relations, conflict resolution, performance improvement plans
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and facilitate HR and talent alignment initiatives
Use of performance-based metrics
Capable with HR database or system
Experience supporting organizational change preferably across businesses
Experience with process and continuous improvement
Experience with HR transformation a plus
Exposure to and leadership of safety
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong attention to detail and follow up/task completion skills
Excellent communication skills - verbal, written including some presentation skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in HR, Business, or related field. HR certifications, a plus.
