Primary Responsibilities
You will be in charge of managing audit projects (IT and some business process) and assisting audit leads and staff in all phases of an audit engagement with limited oversight, including:
using professional judgement to oversee and provide guidance to audit leads and staff with confidence
helping audit leads and staff in the planning, risk analysis, scoping, formulation of test steps, execution of fieldwork, and effective delivery of audit projects, results, and recommendations to management
communicating issues and results with confidence
thinking through issues to prepare feedback and recommendations for management that are meaningful and valuable from a financial and/or operational perspective
proactive risk and control assessments, special projects for our business partners, and investigations
You will be focused on developing less experienced team members and providing guidance to audit leads for individual projects and engagements (IT and some business process).
You will be a key focal for business contacts across the company, who will look to you for guidance on best practices, risk management, and advisory on internal control matters (primarily IT but some business process).
You will be in charge of identifying new tools and techniques to share with other team members.

Experience & IT Knowledge:
6+ years of focused experience supporting or evaluating IT environments using frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27000, or ITIL
Strong understanding of SOX and working experience evaluating IT environments for SOX compliance
Knowledge, understanding, and/or experience with Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM) strongly preferred
Experience with new system implementations provides a competitive advantage

Business Process & Financial/Accounting Knowledge:
Practical working experience with financial or business processes (or evaluation of these processes from an audit perspective) strongly preferred
Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting concepts and procedures, SOX compliance, and auditing and internal control practices required

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
Strong working knowledge, understanding, and skills evaluating and using SAP, PeopleSoft, and other systems such as Access, SQL, Power BI, SharePoint, and/or Visio (or similar) strongly preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance required

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) strongly preferred, or other related accreditations (e.g., Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), other)

Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Can communicate the “so what” message to all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to write complex issues in clear and concise reports for use by management and key stakeholders
Able to stand firm on non-negotiable positions when necessary
Demonstrated ability to facilitate a variety of presentations – one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports and management
Projects and recommendations are delivered with confidence
Takes ownership of projects and results

Travel could be anywhere between 0 to 10 percent of the year depending on projects
