Wells Fargo’s Chief Administrative Office (CAO) consists of enterprise functions that work together to promote and protect the Wells Fargo culture and brand, and support our team members. Groups within CAO work to protect our reputation, tell our story, bolster team member engagement, connect with our customers, and bring new and innovative solutions to life. CAO functions include Commitment to Customer, Corporate Responsibility & Community Relations, Data Management & Insights, Human Resources, Marketing, Stakeholder Relations, and the CAO Integration and Planning Office.
This position reports to Vice President/Community Relations Associate Manager for the San Francisco Bay Area and is responsible for program design, management, and administration for Wells Fargo community engagement initiatives and related philanthropy for the entire Bay Area. This position is located in Concord, CA and does not offer relocation assistance.
Specific responsibilities include:
Identify policies and procedures for planning and implementing high-impact philanthropic, volunteer, and community development programs for respective counties
Assess community needs and execute an enterprise-wide community investment strategy to promote and enhance the well-being of the communities we serve ensuring alignment of CR vision and priorities
Develop and maintain relationships with key community partners and nonprofit organizations as well as internal regional leaders and partners in Community Relations, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Government Relations, Team Member Networks, Environmental Affairs, and the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation
Support community service activities as a visible representative of Wells Fargo in the community, and engage in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of community outreach partnerships and impact of Wells Fargo investments
Contribute to the company's OCC Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) exam rating by ensuring that the investment of Wells Fargo assets support the growth of Low to Moderate Income (LMI) communities
Corporate Responsibility & Community Relations operates as the link between the company, stakeholders, and the communities we serve. The group leads enterprise strategies and programs to help strengthen and protect Wells Fargo's culture and brand, including the company’s global corporate social responsibility strategy, strategic philanthropy, environmental affairs, community relations, diversity and inclusion, national partnerships, and community development.
The territory this position will cover will include Contra Costa County.
5+ years of community relations experience
Other Desired Qualifications
Recent and relevant grant making experience for a philanthropic or other large complex organization (financial services preferred)
Demonstrated experience effectively managing relationships with local community partners, and leaders
Experience building strong internal relationships and working across large organizations
Experience effectively navigating challenging conversations and situations while protecting the reputation and brand of organization/company
Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels
Experience creating strategic plans for community development projects specifically in the areas of Affordable Housing, Economic Development and Neighborhood Revitalization
Experience developing and evaluating key performance metrics and analyzing data
Experience in project management, employee volunteer engagement, philanthropy, and/or nonprofit work
