As Paralegal, you will join a dynamic cross-functional Legal Department that serves as a trusted business partner to over 5,500 outstanding colleagues at Verizon Wireless' largest premium retailer. Your work will support all aspects of the in-house legal function, including preliminary review of commercial real estate documents and vendor contracts, administrative support for leasing and related documents, handling due diligence and other fact-finding efforts related to disputes and litigation, and conducting research on labor and employment matters. This position reports directly to our Senior Paralegal, who - along with the rest of the Legal Department - will actively help develop your skill set across the spectrum of legal and business issues vital to the company, most of which should interest you. Our team members are expected to provide bad news early along with practical, evidence-based, business-minded solutions. Responsibilities include:
Provide initial review of commercial lease documents and vendor contracts.
Provide high-level administrative support to lease administration efforts, including oversight of third-party vendor.
Assist on due diligence review for mergers and acquisitions and handle post-closing items.
Implement strategic efforts to resolve disputes with landlords and vendors.
Assist in-house and outside counsel in tracking and managing litigation.
Conduct fact-finding and other due diligence efforts related to employment and litigation matters.
Collaborate like a champion.

You should have at least 1-4 years of legal experience with an emphasis on in-house legal support.

Accordingly, we are looking for you to also bring the following:

Required 1-4 years of legal experience with an emphasis on in-house legal support.
Paralegal certificate not required but preferred.
Litigation management and labor and employment law experience is helpful.
Ability to work independently and to work with others who work independently.
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, meet deadlines, and keep your inbox at less than 25,000 items.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including a rabid devotion to the Oxford comma, an aversion to legalese, and a passion for crisp, clear, and concise communication.
Exceptional business acumen, analytical ability, and people skills.
Must own your work product and handle all Victra matters like you own the company.
