Web Designer Volunteer

Opera Nova - Arlington, VA

Web Designer needed!

For those who lack work experience in Web Design, this is a chance for you to use your on-hand expertise!

Arlington County is perhaps the smallest political entity in the United States that has its own opera company. For 56 years, Opera NOVA has remained a steady local cultural treasure.

The best way to describe the Opera NOVA of today is to tell you that it is a service organization that through the arts serves the entire community. We are today the stewards who sustain what volunteer-civic activists started back in the 1960s when they believed there to be a cultural vacuum in Arlington and filled it by establishing the Opera Theatre of Northern Virginia. Without a doubt, their action was intended to influence the culture for good by elevating the presence of the arts as well as the level of social grace and worldliness of Arlington, which was just beginning to become a sophisticated urban-like community. This cultural civic gem, unfortunately, has become the “best-kept secret in Arlington.
