Under general direction of the Director of Technology Support Services the incumbent is responsible for supporting and overseeing the daily activities of the Enterprises Client Services Team and for ensuring services such as software packaging, deployment images, domain policies, system automation, and servers are prudent and delivered in a timely manner. The Lead Systems Administrator identifies professional development opportunities within the Enterprise Client Services Team, and assists with draft performance evaluations.The incumbent works closely with Desktop Support Services and responds to customer inquires, collects and tracks issues via ticketing systems, and provides technical support / coordination. The incumbent coordinates with counter parts within Academic Technology Services to execute department and university initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Skill and knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operating system image deployment and software packaging. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network and server problems and correct malfunctions. Ability to take overall responsibility for assigned projects and successfully complete while presenting progress reports, detailing roadblocks, solutions to roadblocks and current status and bring projects in on time. Ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize duties and responsibilities. Ability to write clear and detailed technical and customer documentation to support ongoing operations, troubleshooting and overall system use for customers. Ability to work effectively with all level of individuals from a variety of technical, professional and diverse racial/ethnic and cultural background. Ability to train individuals and groups of technical staff in the process of software packaging and testing on both Macintosh and Windows. Ability to create test, development, and production environments to test and plan deployment to insure that disruption to customers does not occur as a result of centralized Macintosh and Windows deployment activities.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field and five years of related experience required. 3-5 years of management/supervisory experience in the field of technology preferred. Experience in higher education desired.
Licenses / Certificates
CA Driver's License, Class C. Microsoft SCCM System Center Configuration Manager certification (preferred). Jamf Certification (preferred).
