The Support and Deployment Strategic Planning team is seeking an exceptional leader and a forward thinker to work with us on key strategic initiatives. We are a small team composed of former top tier management consultants responsible for defining and driving strategic programs for Dell Services working collaboratively across Dell Services, Corporate Development and other Dell Business Units. The team is responsible for both organic and inorganic strategic programs which includes acquisition assessment, due diligence and integration support while partnering very closely with Corporate Development.
In the role, you will work on highly complex problems and provide insight into the strategic issues which are forefront in the minds of the Executive Leadership Team. You will gain exposure to senior-level decision-making and establish relationships across all areas of the company. You will be based in Round Rock, TX and only minimal travel is typically necessary.
Working with lines of business to address a strategic product opportunity
Developing a global or regional growth plan or business case
Managing cross-functional teams to drive a comprehensive set of tactical actions
Creating a route-to-market strategy
Assessing the attractiveness of investment alternatives
Improving business unit or sales productivity and operating performance
Typically 10-12 years of relevant experience, including at least three years of strategy consulting experience at a top-tier management consulting firm OR 6+ years of experience at a large technology company in a strategy role
Proficiency leading and managing multiple work streams and project teams (3+ person)
Outstanding problem solving, quantitative analytical, and mentoring skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive/C-level stakeholders
Self-direction and motivation, and ability to operate independently
Proficiency leading and managing informal teams
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree with focus on quantitative discipline preferred
Prior experience at a top management consulting firm
