Job Title: Senior Specialist - Information Technology (HRIS)

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: Senior Manager - Information Technology

Job Summary

The Senior IT Specialist for the HRIS team helps the businesses achieve their objectives by evaluating, designing, enhancing and adapting new and existing solutions. As the liaison between IT and the business units, the Senior Specialist ensures IT projects meet deadlines and systems are configured for their best performance.

Essential Functions

Liaise extensively with the business units and external vendors to analyze existing systems, business models, identify new requirements and to optimize processes for both technical and business suitability
Explore and develop future solutions and provide guidance for both technical and business suitability
Serve as subject matter expert in the specific areas of the business processes of the HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, learning, data maintenance, benefits administration or payroll
Draw up, supervise and document testing schedules for systems
Work closely with colleagues, developers to support a variety of end users ensuring system compatibility and user satisfaction
Perform other duties as assigned
Required

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Experience as a matter expert level of support for system errors (2nd level)
Technical experience with HR systems (SuccessFactors, ADP, SAP)
Understanding of SQL, XML, HTML, Java, rational databases and structures
Ability to perform a deep error analysis apart from evaluation of normal errors
Experience documenting system changes and ability to understand and effectively communicate change’s impact
Ability to plan and be flexible with deadline and interruptions

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with 3+ years of experience or equivalent experience in technical support in an enterprise environment for at least 5 years
Familiarity with business processes in different business units

Physical Job Requirements

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) all of the time
The person in this position may need to move about the store(s), distribution center(s), warehouse(s), and/or corporate office(s) more than half the time
The person in this role must be able to position him/herself (ex: kneel, crawl, crouch down) to fulfill the essential functions of the role less than half the time
The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) 15 – 40 lbs.
This position operates machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists (ex: typing, etc.) all of the time
This position requires the ability to spend all of the time viewing computer monitors
This position is exposed to non-climate controlled workspace(s) less than half the time
The person in this position must be able to identify and distinguish between colors more than half the time

Travel Requirements

This position requires overnight international as well as domestic travel less than 25% of the time
Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
