Guardant Health has launched liquid biopsy-based Guardant360 and GuardantOMNI tests for advanced stage cancer patients and LUNAR assay for research use and for use in prospective clinical trials. In parallel, Guardant Health is actively exploring the performance of the LUNAR assay in initial studies related to screening and early detection in asymptomatic individuals.
Assure the effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company.
The Senior Manager, Facilities will have 5+ years of Engineering experience in facilities and utilities in a GMP environment and will be able to work with minimal supervision. The Senior Manager will provide oversight and management of projects and construction. Will be required to be available for quick response to all building related emergencies. Flexibility is a must as priorities can and will change. Utilities include: power generator, BMS electrical system, HVAC system, security system, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
Conduct and document regular facilities inspections.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes. Oversee environmental health and safety.
Assure security of the facility. Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency. Coordinate intra-office moves. Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants.
Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations.
Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and parking.
Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency. Advise on and monitor energy efficiency.
Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels.
Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff. Performance manage, develop and train staff.
Prepare and track facility budget. Monitor expenses and payments.
Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as project management, business management or construction management
Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management
Working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration.
Working knowledge of human resource management principles and practices.
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of facility operation.
Solid computer and systems knowledge.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
