PRCS is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Division Manager – Children’s Program position. The primary duties include insuring the quality and content of children’s program design, development and implementation; supervising program management staff in K-5th grade afterschool, camp, and Adaptive Recreation for participants of all ability levels; and preparing and monitoring a complex program budget including meeting multiple cost recovery targets.

Other duties will include: providing oversight of automated systems for managing electronic files; ensuring program quality and staff job readiness through the development and implementation of staff orientation and training; and building relationships for the coordination of programs with community center staff, schools, and other inter-county agencies. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in childcare, education, recreation or related field, with at least 4 years related experience including supervisory experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Six months operational experience working in or with children's programs
One year management/administrative experience
Knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginia State Day Care licensing standards
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and communication skills
Memberships in childcare professional organizations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

DMV record checked annually
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Provide results of a negative TB test
Have or become CPR/First Aid certified within 90 days of hire
