Senior Radar Systems Engineer

EWA Government Systems, Inc. (EWA GSI), located in Mount Laurel, NJ, specializes in the development of radar systems and radar related products for the Department of Defense and other U.S. Government Agencies. Our radar programs involve all phases of development from requirements generation through hardware and software design, fabrication, integration and test.


At least 10 years direct experience in radar and radar related topics with extensive knowledge in:

  • Applied radar and radar system design
  • Signal processing and signal analysis tools (FFT, filters (FIR, IIR))
  • Development of software analysis or simulations (MATLAB, LABVIEW, other)
  • Receiver design (frequency translation, modulation)
  • Antenna theory
  • Radar analysis and simulation
  • Radar system-level and subsystem-level requirements definition and design
  • Specification Generation
  • Test plans and procedures generation
  • Integration and test team leadership

Will provide technical guidance for subsystem development

Will provide technical guidance and support for system integration and test

Will play a leading role for all phases of radar system development and test

Must be able to write technical proposals

Must be able to compile and present system requirements and design review presentations

Must be able to define problems

Must have excellent communications skills and ability to support customer relations and management reporting requirements

Must have strong mathematical/analytical competence

Must have leadership skills to provide technical direction to software and hardware design engineers

Desired/Preferred Skills:

  • Hardware design (RF, analog, digital, or microwave) or software design experience
  • Background in communication theory

Education/Degree/Certification Required:

  • BS in Physics or EE required
  • MS in Physics, EE, or Systems Engineering strongly desirable
