Our General Manager position is a senior level position and will be responsible for leading all aspects of all operations. We would like you to lead the Field Superintendents, Shop Department Managers, Estimator and all staff reporting to them and all of the day-to-day shop activities including approving staff schedules, overtime, invoices, and estimates. The General Manager will have specific goals related to growing profit, increasing efficiency, reducing errors and mistakes and improving the level of quality and customer service from the shop and field.

Responsibilities as a General Manager:
Oversee shop operations to include scheduling, supervising, and mentoring all Department Managers, Field Superintendents, and Estimating department.
Review and approve estimates and quotes over lower management financial threshold before they are submitted to the customer.
Work with the management team to schedule and control man power, overtime, hours, and budget
Approve daily work schedules for all employees to include, overtime, vacation, and PTO.
Guide all shop employees to the highest efficiency and quality.
Facilitate employee performance evaluations.
Work with sales, service, field management and staff to meet customer needs, deadlines and requirements.
Implement and improve quality control program and process
Maintain the safest work place possible meeting all SOP’s and OSHA requirements.
Facilitate weekly staff meeting while including human resources and other management personnel when necessary.
Facilitate, review and/or approve all documentation and discipline for field and shop staff.
Work with H.R. on all hiring and first interviews
Collaborate regularly with senior management in a scheduled meeting
Responsible for all day-to-day operations for both shops
Any other duties and tasks requested by senior management

Experience working in a shop environment
Technical Shop Skills, machining knowledge and capacity, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and fabrication abilities as well as fluid power knowledge and experience
