Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse with a specialization in the Progressive Care Unit, your role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care to patients in need of intermediate-level care. You will:
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing specialized care and interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and support.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families during their journey to recovery.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation specific to PCU procedures.
- Adhere to rigorous healthcare and safety standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Active and unrestricted nursing license in the state of [State], or eligible Compact State lucense.
- At minimum, current BLS and ACLS certifications (Certification requirements vary by location).
- At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse, actively within the last 12 months.
- At least 1 year of specialized experience and expertise in Progressive Care nursing.
- Mixed acuity unit.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to excel in the fast-paced and dynamic PCU environment.
- Travel experience, and/or willingness to travel.
