PFM Asset Management LLC (“PFMAM”), a PFM affiliate, is currently seeking an experienced financial professional to work with our growing team in Harrisburg, PA. This hands-on position reports jointly to the Managing Director of Investment Operations and the Chief Investment Officer and will take an integral role in helping to monitor revenue accruals, business expenses vs. the budget, produce management reports, client reports and investment databases.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Financial Business Analyst is a vital link between Asset Management and Corporate Accounting by ensuring consistency of revenue recognized by product and the associated costs. The Business Analyst will be involved with the creation and maintenance of annual revenue and expense budget as well as a five year forecast. This position will be based in our Harrisburg, PA office, with minimal travel expected.

Responsibilities
SPECIFIC ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain revenue recognition records of Asset Management by product
Coordinate the reporting of Asset Management revenue to corporate accounting and verifying the accuracy of the results
Monitor spending on operations compared with contracts and the operating expense budget
Plan, study and collect data to determine costs and efficiency of Asset Management products and services
Analyze changes in product design or services provided, to determine effects on cost
Present profitability estimates and budgets for new products or business initiatives
Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting profitability of products or services
Participate in producing and updating an annual and a five year revenue forecast
Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings throughout Asset Management
Participate in evaluating business initiatives and documenting new processes
Collect and compile actual data usage by various systems as compared to contractual limits
Construct database of service contracts including expiration dates, renewal periods, inflations terms and termination notice periods
Review Asset Management financial statements for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Assist the Managing Director of Investment Accounting with technical accounting research
Assist the Chief Investment Officer in evaluating new business initiatives and potential acquisitions
Complete assignments with a high degree of accuracy and in a timely manner
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
Assist with internal and external financial reporting preparation where deemed appropriate
Assist with other projects as deemed appropriate
Qualifications

Position Requirements:
A college degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field is required
3 years of business analysis experience in the asset management / financial services / banking industry
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
Detail orientated, analytical and inquisitive
Ability to work independently and with others

COMPENSATION
Compensation includes a competitive base salary, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits package. PFM also offers the option for participation in profit sharing and 401K plans.
