The Quality Compliance Engineer ensures and is responsible for quality control within the manufacturing operations space and provides a customer quality interface.

Who you’ll work with

The Quality Compliance Engineer reports to the Director of Operations and interfaces with manufacturing operations personnel (including various level of management) as well as interfaces with customers.

What you’ll do

Support the Purchase Order acceptance process.
Verify compliance of company products and delivery documentation.
Hold the necessary approvals and carry out dispatch signatory activities and assist in the final dispatch of parts during shift patterns.
Support the modification rework process with updates to delivery paperwork.
Carry out customer delegated source inspection where applicable.
Review and sign off internal and external First Articles of Incorporation (FAI’s) as required.
Plan, undertake and report internal and external (as required) product and process audits.
Act as a Company guide for external audit teams and host Customer audits on responsible projects.
Support corrective action process and undertake fault investigation (internal and external.)
Review / monitor scrap and concessions for trends.
Hold MRB (Material Review Board) authority for review and concession signoff on responsible projects.
Act as customer point of contact for CAR’s, returned items and corrective actions.
Review / answer / process / investigate Customer Complaints through TipQA and strive to improve Customer’s quality rating.
Liaise with Value Stream Managers regarding supporting production quality requirements.
Review ICY results and disposition.
Monitor tooling and equipment calibration status.
Support the review and buy off of Quality Plans and carry out Quality Department functions as required.
Complete applications, undertake new starter inductions, monitor and audit company approved operator scopes / stamp holders.
Support all QCE areas of assembly as required / requested.
Support the LEAN and continuous improvement processes.
Support the AOG (Aircraft On Ground) out of hours team (as agreed individually.)
Work in accordance with approved scope of work.
Weekly and monthly reporting on Quality Metrics.
About you

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing required.
2+ years of Quality-related experience required.
Ability to read/interpret blueprints and technical schematics required.
U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with AS9100 Quality Standards preferred.
GKN experience preferred.
Ability to organize and implement multiple concurrent tasks.
Excellent communications skills.
Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
