Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.
2 years of experience in compliance or risk management.
Experience managing projects across organizations.
Experience building new programs and processes across a matrixed organization.
Experience preparing reports and presentations for executive audiences.
Experience in compliance, risk management, and/or legal at a major technology or engineering company.
Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and influence others without direct authority.
Knowledge of risk and control frameworks, applicable global privacy laws, regulations, audits, and binding legal commitments.

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.
The Privacy Compliance team will oversee a company-wide privacy compliance and assurance program. As a Program Manager on this new team, you will design how privacy compliance is monitored and assessed across the company. You will be responsible for designing and coordinating a new risk assessment process and a new comprehensive privacy controls framework, and in the process will collaborate with senior stakeholders across Product, Privacy and Data Protection Office (PDPO), Compliance, Engineering Compliance, Internal Audit, and Legal teams.

Design and coordinate enterprise-wide privacy risk assessments to identify key privacy risks and prioritize compliance monitoring efforts for the Privacy Compliance function and areas of focus across the enterprise.
Manage the enterprise-wide master privacy controls framework - working with Privacy Legal and other organizations to translate Google’s obligations across legal, regulatory, and self-regulatory domains as well as privacy commitments established through Google’s privacy notices and internal policies and standards into controls and business requirements.
Develop and lead the privacy compliance controls monitoring and testing strategic plan.
Identify and document control deficiencies, including procedures to report findings to business stakeholders and executive leadership, as needed.
Support Privacy Legal and the Chief Privacy Officer in the preparation and presentation of Privacy Compliance related activities to internal and external stakeholders.
