Required Skills and Experience:

+ High level of sensitivity to the needs of families ofchildren and youth with disabilities. Parent or family member of a child with adisability is preferred.

+ Bachelor’s Degree required in business, publicadministration, social services or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

+ Experience in fundraising and fund development.

+ Proven leadership and management of people, financial,project and events.

+ Strong organizational skills.

+ Communication: strong verbal, written and listening skills;ability to present and persuade; ability to communicate with a wide variety ofindividuals at statewide and community level.

+ Service on boards, councils and advisory panels related tostate systems and services for consumers, families of children and youth withdisabilities.

+ Must carry a valid driver’s license and have the ability totravel independently.

Core Responsibilities/Roles: The ExecutiveDirector (ED) ensures the development of long-range strategy and implements thestrategic vision of the Board of Directors. The ED is accountable for programoutcomes and the financial performance of statewide projects, for managinginternal operations consistent with the mission and purpose of PHP of WY, Incand in conformity with applicable state and federal laws. The ED reports to theChairperson of the Board of Directors, who evaluate the job performance of the EDannually.

The Executive Director develops grants andcontract proposals to acquire, maintain and diversify adequate funding andresources to carry out the mission of the organization. Facilitates andsupports implementation of the Board’s goals in fund development and privatephilanthropy. Hires, manages and evaluates staff, and implements best practice inpersonnel and non-profit management.

Other Roles& Responsibilities:

Serves as the chief fundraiser, alongwith the Board of Directors, to diversify revenue bycultivating and soliciting diverse donors,

Maintains afundraising/donor database,

Supervises thedevelopment of all policy and policy revisions,

Reports to Board ofDirectors on all projects as requested,

Coordinates allactivities of the Board of Directors,

Oversees allindependent contracts/contractors,

Provides public presentationsabout PHP and its various projects,

Supervises thedevelopment of all project proposals, submits, negotiates and oversees all newand continuation proposals and annual reports for PHP,

Communicates withfederal project officer and other funders.

Serve as a leader increating an inclusive and culturally responsive organization especially withregards to disability, race, gender, gender identity and sexual orientation.

ProgrammaticDuties:

Coordinates and/ormanages communications for PHP and its projects including website, socialmedia, organizational publications, and media ensuring accurate, relevant, andtimely information.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
