Viracor Eurofins is searching for a Clinical Specialist in Lee’s Summit, MO.

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:
The Clinical Specialist will enhance the selling process by serving as the expert on an expansive portfolio of diagnostics tests and develop clinical champions and advocates within target accounts. This position is responsible for evaluating and implementing strategies for commercial development and revenue growth in the designated region.

Essential Job Duties:
Work closely with sales management and Account Executives (AEs) to understand the account landscape, including key physicians and clinical staff, competitive activity, and expectations for supporting the current business initiatives
Work with Account Executives (AEs) in assigned territory to identify and develop new accounts and grow revenue
Apply clinical knowledge in the field with client meetings and presentations designed to build and maintain clinical champions/advocates within existing and new target facilities
Provide and maintain profiles for facilities visited or targeted that may include current clinical practices and protocols and key clinical decision makers
Facilitate events with Key Opinion Leader to develop champions and drive innovation feedback loop
Create and develop presentations, education plans, and evaluation plans to support AE training in and out of the field.
Provide specific support and assist the marketing department with the development of targets and promotional and educational collateral
Provide feedback to marketing and sales management on evaluation, launches, promotional programs, and effectiveness of tools provided
Support local, regional, and national trade shows as required
Work closely with Marketing and Sales Management to ensure messaging and training is effectively delivered
Effectively deliver company approved presentation to customer and prospects.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills including effective core messaging and delivery of formal presentations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and clinical decision makers within the designated market segment.
Maintain complete and accurate/concise records of sales’ activities and provide updates to sales management on key issues, opportunities, and knowledge of market intelligence
Understand the industry process and care protocol to best position clinical solutions throughout the process, and how to best utilize our resources to meet or exceed customer expectations
Assist with training sessions for sales team members
Develop and maintain an effective/professional working relationship with external customers and internal colleagues ( lab personnel and leadership, marketing, sales operations and leadership, IT, and client services) to provide the best service possible
Represent department and organization professionally and favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes at all time
Other duties as assigned by management

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PhD in the sciences required
At least 3 – 5 years of sales support experience, laboratory services or medical sales is preferred
Ability to travel up to 75%
Customer service focused and professional attitude
Ability to solve problems, prioritize and multi-task
Goal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Keenly attentive to detail
Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
High level of proficiency with PC based software programs, specifically Microsoft Excel, SF.com, iPad and associated app

Physical Requirements:
Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting
Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions
