The Research and Development team has an opening for a Project Research Manager with a focus on restorative Justice projects.

Position Summary
The Project Research Manager will fill an important role connecting market sectors and the Research & Development group to clients who are engaged in project-based research. This person will maintain communication with clients about ongoing evaluations, manage research tools including a Qualtrics research library, collaborate in the creation of reports and visualizations for sharing progress and outcomes, and participate in ongoing development and refinement of project research tools and POE processes. This person will also share in responsibility for maintaining IRB protocols and amendments and managing sensitive data in accordance with Human Subjects Research guidelines. This role is primarily (50%) connected to DLR Group’s Justice + Civic sector, with a focus on Restorative Justice research, but will interface with all market sectors (50%) through involvement with the Research & Development team.
The successful candidate will
Oversee project-based research and post-occupancy evaluation work to ensure timely and ethical participation and completion of work.
Manage a research library of literature using Mendeley, DeepDyve, and Sharepoint.
Manage a library of qualitative and quantitative research tools, including Qualtrics and UX research platforms.
Participate in R&D projects focused on developing or refining research tools or procedures and update the firm’s R&D guiding documents accordingly.
Create and distribute surveys, both digital and hard copy.
Write, review, or maintain Institutional Review Board documentation for human-subjects research studies.
Code and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
Contribute to reports of research outcomes to communicate findings to non-expert audiences.
Write short pieces for DLR Group website or other outlet on research activities and outcomes.
Track Human Subjects Research training certification for all employee-owners involved in R&D.
Present research findings or projects at client-facing or industry events.
Present DLR Group work and research projects to academic audiences.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a social science, design, statistics, or data science discipline
Master’s in a variety of fields, with preference for social science or design topics
Project or research management experience.
Statistical or data analysis experience.
Understanding of social science or mixed-methods research practices, with an emphasis on survey research
Strong written communication and verbal presentation skills.
Data visualization, graphic design, or other design skills for communication of data.
SPSS (preferred) or a similar statistical analysis program.
Human Subjects Research Training (it is not necessary for this to be current at the time of application)
Qualtrics (preferred) or a similar survey research platform.
Research training or certifications.
Design or engineering training or certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Grant writing, reporting, or management experience.
LEED, WELL, RESET, or similar certifications.
EDAC (evidence-based design accreditation).
