The department is currently seeking a program manager to oversee the operation of the Project Management Office in addition to governing the group’s portfolio of Technology and Organizational Change programs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the delivery of strategic technology programs, in addition to management of large scale process improvement or organizational change programs. With extensive experience of working at a senior management level, you will be able to demonstrate a record of strategic planning in a large and complex organization. You must be able to make a significant and effective contribution to the development and implementation of strategy and policy and therefore must possess a detailed knowledge of technology architecture principles and software development practices and tools, including direct experience of working within an agile software engineering organization.
Ongoing operation of the organization’s Project Management Office, examining processes and policies to identify opportunities to optimize and better align the division to deliver against its strategic goals.
Ongoing governance of the portfolio of work and operation of the division to ensure a high performing organization.
Engagement with senior stakeholders across all technology lines of business, ensuring adherence to the division’s plans and expected outputs, whilst fostering an environment of collaboration and shared success.
Development and execution of the division’s communication strategy ensuring effective routes of communication are maintain at all levels of the organization, both inwards within the Chief Technology Office and outwards to our consumers across Global technology.
Financial planning and oversight to ensure the division is funded for success, whilst maintaining discipline on division spending and applying a focus on expense efficiency where appropriate.
Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience, bringing strong intellectual capacity, excellent analytical skills and clear, consistent and ethical judgment.
7+ years relevant experience, with at least 4 spent in an organizational leadership role either acting in a senior Technology Business Management or Technology Program management capacity.
A proven ability to develop and implementation organization strategy. Partnering with senior executive leadership to develop effective business and financial plans.
A keen ability to plan clearly and strategically in a complex environment and build effective organizational processes that support these plans. The ability to govern and instill discipline across organizations whilst building a positive culture and high performing work environment.
Experience running a portfolio of complex and inter-related technology projects at scale, acting as the central point of coordination on cross team deliveries, ensuring dependencies, risks and issues are identified and managed effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as are strong diplomatic skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups.
Expertise working in an Agile project environment and the ability to operate development and architecture discussion forums, through a deep understanding of current application development tools and techniques.
A strong focus on project risk, with the ability to govern the project execution process ensuring compliance with all corporate, regulatory, IT risk and architecture policies.
Highly driven and results orientated: Drives results through people, communication, influence and interaction.
