What You Will Do:
The Production Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling plant production and providing feedback for purchasing staff to aid in procurement of vendor components required to support production. The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of various types of work that may be performed. Generates and maintains production and packaging schedule for the plant. Measures production performance to plan and resolves scheduling conflicts.
Maintains inventories on raw materials, finished goods, intermediates and containers to ensure the accurate and timely support of the production plan and customer requirements.
Plans and communicates expected shipment/delivery dates for customer, interplant, and warehouse orders using the requested delivery date. Coordinates shipments to ensure the timely delivery of orders. Responsible for identifying/resolving orders that do not meet customer requirements.
Resolves all problems related to customer orders to their satisfactory conclusion as related to the planning process.
Works with Purchasing to identify/resolve supplier non-conformances on raw material receipts. Plans and coordinates raw material orders and receipts.
Provides feedback to Customer Service on availability of finished goods.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Logistics or related field
2+ years of related work experience
High level proficiency with MS Office

Experience with SAP a plus
Complete understanding of manufacturing planning principles, theories and concepts
Previous chemical plant / manufacturing experience
Lean Six Sigma experience
