What You’ll Do:
We have five different roles with multiple openings in each of the following areas.
Transfer Pricing Analyst: The Transfer Pricing Analyst Intern will work with and support Expedia's Transfer Pricing team and other members of the tax, finance, accounting and legal departments as well as business line professionals on all aspects of developing, implementing, maintaining, testing, and defending Expedia's transfer pricing policies.
Indirect Tax Internship: The indirect tax intern will perform a variety of recurring and non-recurring transaction tax functions including assisting with tax return preparation and related compliance filings for both domestic and foreign jurisdictions. The indirect tax intern will join a team of tax professionals and work under the direction of the Tax Manager. This individual will work in a dynamic tax environment. Areas of focus could include domestic state and local sales tax, Washington business and occupation tax, city/county hotel taxes, VAT and GST filings.
Financial Planning and Analysis Internship: As a key member of the team you will play a critical role in providing insight into financial performance through data-driven analysis, forecasting, reporting of key operational and financial metrics and KPIs. You will also be responsible for distillation of complex financial data into actionable information, managing financial models, analyzing new initiatives, financial planning, and analyzing operational metrics. The FBM team provides support to the eCP organization that powers multiple Expedia, Inc brands including Brand Expedia (BEX), Hotels.com, Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotwire, Wotif and Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN).
Internal Audit Internship: We are a highly-motivated/ethical Internal Audit team, you will get to work with our Corporate Audit Services (CAS) department. In this global role, our CAS team members are critical to helping all the Brands within Expedia, Inc. address compliance, financial, operational, strategic and technology risks in business and technology processes. To be successful, you'll need to be inquisitive, want to be intellectually-stimulated and driven to continuously improve and expand your knowledge and skill sets. You will be offered the opportunities to learn about the largest online travel company in the world, travel the world and develop your skill set and leadership qualities. Successful employees will have an opportunity to continue to grow their career in other parts of the Company locally or worldwide.
Accounting Internship: If you are a self-motivated, positive and flexible individual with a focus in accounting then consider joining our Revenue Accounting team. This team is primarily responsible for customer payment and cash accounting worldwide and is located in Bellevue, Washington.
Who You Are:
Able to work for 12 weeks between May 20th – August 9th or June 17th – September 6th
Currently enrolled in a 4-year university graduating December 2019 or Spring 2020
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business with Accounting background/knowledge Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Economics or Business
Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Permanent authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
Previous internship experience in related field
3.0 minimum cumulative G.P.A
Travel industry and/or e-commerce experience is a plus
Your Internship will include:
Dedicated support from a manager and mentor for the summer

Intern Program Dates: To ensure a consistent experience, we offer two different start dates. These dates accommodate varying schools schedules.
Group 1: May 20th – August 9th, 2019
Group 2: June 17th – September 6th, 2019
