Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will leverage their expertise in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to scrutinize financial data, craft precise and timely financial reports, and uphold robust internal controls. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, they will be instrumental in steering our financial accuracy and integrity.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;

CPA designation is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or audit.

Proficiency in applying GAAP and auditing standards.

Experience in designing and executing internal controls.

Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Blackline.

A solid background in tax and regulatory compliance.

Intermediate Excel skills, capable of crafting complex spreadsheets and utilizing functions such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other formulas.

Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.

A keen eye for detail and organizational skills that support a range of responsibilities.

Leadership experience and a track record in process improvement initiatives are valued additions.
Responsibilities:

Oversee the monthly general ledger close, prepare journal entries, upload financial results, and manage other closing tasks.

Contribute to the annual audit by preparing necessary deliverables.

Ensure the integrity of internal controls, maintain supporting evidence, and assist with their testing.

Manage the accuracy of balance sheet accounts through meticulous account reconciliations using Blackline.

Investigate discrepancies and resolve errors efficiently.

Prepare detailed reports and analyses for senior management.

Respond to financial information requests from our parent company.

Prioritize effectively to meet strict deadlines.

Provide guidance and review the work of junior accountants, as required.

Embark on other projects as directed by Accounting Management.
