The assistant director for training/counselor will perform individual and group counseling as assigned, maintain an active caseload of students with counseling, provide students with community referrals as needed, conduct outreach programming, and attend weekly case conferences. The role will consult with
academic departments, residence life, the registrar office, academic affairs, admissions and other departments as needed regarding mental health issues. Lastly, the assistant director is responsible for coordination and oversight of the centers training program for masters and doctoral level practicum and intern students.
- Master’s or doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field
- Clinical licensure or license eligible in counseling, psychology, social work
- Experience with clinical training and clinical supervision licensure required
- Three or more years of experience working in college counseling preferred
