About the role

As a client-facing UI Developer, you’ll have the opportunity to learn our client’s business, their organization, systems, challenges and goals. You’ll partner directly with client(s) to define and clarify requirements, then work with your team to create accurate project and task estimates to deliver exceptional client results.

An experienced UI Developer, you’ll work on the server-side and User Interface (UI) area of an enterprise trading platform application with pluggable asset classes for users to interact with. You’ll help to modernize trade flow, integrate legacy systems, support different order types and leverage better infrastructure.

Day-to-day, you will

Deliver exceptional client results and project success

Consistently develop and deliver high-quality, low-defect features on schedule

Lead by example through the implementation of challenging and complex components

Ensure quality through adherence to technical best practice, mentorship, feedback

and paired programming

Potentially work part-time or full-time at your client's site

Travel, as necessary.

About you

You likely have experience as a consultant, working with external clients on a regular basis.

Your technical and Business skillset likely includes:
Experience in Single Page Application development using Angular, React, or Vue with

Express to build responsive, cross platform compatible applications

Build mock ups and prototypes using tools such as Zeplin, Sketch, or InVision

Strong in JavaScript skills

Writing unit tests using Jasmine/Mocha/Karma

Experience using graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop

Good working understanding of APIs and Microservices Architecture

Experience using Data exchange technologies like JSON

Build optimized applications for speed

Experience working in a DevOps environment, and using industry standard tools (GIT/OneStash, JIRA) including Unit Testing

Experience with responsive web development (e.g. bootstrap, material design, cssgrid, zurb foundation, styled components, etc.)

Experience with dynamic stylesheet languages (e.g. SASS, LESS)

Bonus Points

Cloud Native experience

Experience building Progressive Web Apps (PWA)

Hands on experience with Webpack to configure builds

Experience designing and building RESTful web services


Understand SEO principles

Data engineering technologies like Python, Spark, no SQL DB, Lambda

Agile, Scrum Master

Knowledge of monitoring tools for SPA applications

You likely have a Computer Science degree or equivalent background and 2 or more years of web development experience.
