Cummings Properties is seeking an entry level Associate Designer/Drafter to join our 20-person Architecture/Graphics/Engineering team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to, and learn about, all aspects of building design and construction with one of the region’s most well respected and financially stable real estate firms. In addition to architecture and space planning, we integrate graphics, sustainability, site, structural, and MEP disciplines. Our team also provides renderings, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and marketing support to our in-house Leasing, Operations, and Construction departments.

Our current major projects include large-scale site development, multi-story commercial buildings, and multi-family residences. Renovation and fit-up projects include exterior, interior, and energy retrofit renovations to existing buildings, as well as significant office, retail, and laboratory fit-ups.

Associate designer responsibilities include space planning, construction documents, project documentation, estimating, and site visits. Qualified applicants must be willing to jump into new projects and able to work well in an active, fast-paced environment.

About You:

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture and at least 1 to 3 years of practical experience. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of AutoCAD in an office environment, a valid driver’s license, and a reliable form of transportation are also required. Sketch Up and Photoshop experience helpful. Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
